Yes, and I'd have to look which one. It's here though and the day before yesterday! Sorry for the confusion...
That realisation for me took some time. But blatantly obvious now! I love the illusive obvious.Colm |
I do too!

I don't want to do an affirmation that states i'm already a good guitarist and songwriter, as I already don't believe I am, and would think that would not be congruent with my present reality, but I can imagine myself improving everyday until I start becoming good. |

I think far more important than the words is the emotional weight you put into them. So if you imagine you're a great guitar player, or you've just nailed your first Cash song, how do you feel? Add that emotion to your voice when you say you're affirmations, or you could add it directly to it. "I'm excited that my guitar playing is getting better and better!"

It's interesting isn't it, how what is superfluous for one person is helpful to another. That may have to do with a need to slow things down, or way to actually put that emotional weight in, yes?
As a fellow guitar player, Sean I can relate!
I think that there is a way to "put the future into the present tense" and it's excitiing how we keep coming upon that here. To say "I'm excited that my guitar playing is getting better and better" does just that, doesn't it? Next might come "I am finding great new things to do with my guitar every day" and so on.
Best!
