what we think, what others in your life think, is not as important as what you think is the best thing for you. if you tell a friend of your choice and your friend judges, says oh, what will people think?... maybe not such a good friend after all. we won't be there for the consequences of your decision, which is why what feels in your heart to be the best thing - is what matters.
quitting school because you have landed a full time position doing what you are passionate about... is hardly irresponsible.
