Default Overcoming the collective ego

Good Evening Everyone.

I have not posted for a while but thought that it would be a good idea to ask about a problem I am having.

I have lived in London, England for more than 10 years. I am 21 years and quite outgoing. I am though having problems when it comes to meeting people. As some may know, London is very much a transit city. People come, work to make money or learn English for a while and leave. Either that or they are simply just traveling. It is difficult to build relationships with people if they are coming and going all the time. Apart form that many do not speak English to a good level, so to begin with, it is difficult to get to know them.

Aside from that also, in big cities, people tend to be very egoic. They have the 'I'm too good for you' attitude. This is certainly a characteristic of Londoners.

There are many kinds of people, but they stick to their racial type and are very close knit.

As for the weather, it is, without exaggeration, rubbish and gloomy! That makes people stay in the home much more often.

If I get to know someone, they always end up leaving and I have to start all over! Either that, or they probably don't speak any English. The biggest thing though is that the weather makes it difficult to want to go out. People would rather stay home and keep cozy.

Have you had similar problems?

Anyway, just some stuff I thought you lovely people might be able to help me out with. I don't mean to complain, it is just an observation since I have traveled far and wide and experienced different countries.

Cheers
