If I were to hire a fashion adviser I wouldn't be interested in their degrees/courses but in their work, references, ''word of mouth'' thing. I didn't quite get whether you'd like to start a business on your own in that field or try to find a job (work for someone else) in the fashion field?
Either way, taking the course can't hurt.
