I believe you have more options than just these 2. It is not that if you do not associate with this master that you are forever stuck with these limiting believes.

If you have doubts about the teacher (and not about your own ability to change) I would not continue. It can be the best person in the world, but if he doesn´t fit you, if it doesn´t feel right, you will not be able to absorb his message and will throw away your money.

There are more fish in the sea (there are maybe even more fish than sea ) so just keep on looking.

Another thing that just came to mind... maybe you should stop looking for a teacher, and more look for a coach? To take more responsability yourself?
