A couple of years ago my family and I took a vacation. I kept telling myself how nice it would be to return to a bank account that had not been drained from the vacation.
When we returned I was opening the mail from the week we had been gone and I did indeed receive a check. It was from a surgery center where my daughter had her tonsils out a year prior to this trip. The check was for $534.00. The letter enclosed with the check stated that it was a refund for an amount that we had paid and the insurance also paid. The mistake was found while the office was doing an end of the year analysis of their books.
At that time my main source of information about the LOA was from The Secret. I did not intentionally tell myself that I would receive this money from "an unexpected check in the mail", but I believe that the thought was in the back of my mind from reading the book and watching the movie so many times.
This incident, among many of the others I have posted was the beginning of my search for information about the LOA. It was that "Hmmm...really?" kind of a moment. I haven't looked back since
