Hello, I'm posting a bunch here as I'm feeling very connected to these forums recently since they are my best way to connect with as many of the people I met over the weekend and others of like mind and attitude. As I've mentioned in other posts, the workshop left me with a lot of creative energy and very keyed up about spirituality and oneness amongst other things. Here is an idea that I had which I shared with a couple of people at the workshop, but I did not get chance to share with everyone.
So throughout the workshop we applied the principles of Truth, Love, and Power (along with their secondaries and Intelligence) to our life in general and then to different specific aspects of our lives (Finances, Habits, Skills, etc.)... and at the end of the workshop I asked Steve if Humanity as a whole could be said to have an alignment with Truth, Love and Power, and he agreed saying that we as a humanity have a strong alignment with Power, but not so much with Truth (which was what I was thinking). Now you could probably divide up humanity and say that Americans have a stronger alignment with Power and a lower alignment with Love than say a tribe in Africa which might have a very strong Love alignment or Tibetan or other spiritual cultures who might have a much stronger alignment with Truth. But the point is that if we decide to believe in Oneness (and i do), then we as a whole need to work on our alignment with TLP in order to manifest the next Great Leap Forward in human consciousness... just as we all here are trying to do on an individual level (I assume).
This brings me to a plan I've been tossing around in my head for a little while now. What if could consciously manifest a global increase in consciousness? I know that blogs and books and workshops all help raise the overall consciousness by increasing the consciousness of varying amounts of people in varying degrees... for instance, a well written blog post might raise a large number of people's consciousness somewhat, but it will be much less than how much a fully comprehensive book or dvd would raise it up, though the paid media would reach a much smaller audience. And as I saw over the weekend a workshop will help raise consciousness an enormous amount, but will reach an even smaller audience. But what if there was a way to raise a significant portion of the planet's consciousness, a significant amount?
What I'm proposing is that we actively manifest and create December 21, 2012 as an event which does just that.
I know very little regarding the actual Mayan Calendar significance and the astrological significance (though I did speak with Dragos somewhat about this at the workshop), but I have heard that this date is supposed to hold great significance regarding change. Quite honestly, that's irrelevant to me... I believe that prophesies are self-fulfilling, and what I'm proposing involves consciously and actively self-fulfilling this one in a positive way.
What I would suggest is that we created a movement which would bring together as many people of as many religious/spiritual beliefs as possible and coordinate everyone praying/meditating on raising the world consciousness (or becoming more conscious of God) at the same time. It sounds kinda out there, but what's the worst thing that could happen? Now what's the best thing that could happen?
With the internet as our medium, we can connect with leaders in many different faiths and approach them with the idea. If we could get a critical mass of people excited or at least curious in the most entrenched faiths, then the idea could spread and gain some universal credibility... I mean the 21st of December is a day of Advent I believe and it's a Friday which makes it a holy day for Muslims. How hard would it be to merely convince people to hold a large prayer vigil at a particular time and get as many people involved as possible? We're not telling them what to pray, but maybe just giving them a general theme which everyone can incorporate in their own unique cultural and spiritual way... something fundamental which leads to oneness.
Also of significance, it's the Winter Solstice (Actually wikipedia says that the Solstice occurs at
11:11 UTC on December 21, 2012... weird, eh?). I can't seem to find any Jewish significance for that date or day, though I didn't look too hard.
Now, how do we accomplish this using Truth, Love and Power and how will this put Humanity in better alignment with TLP?
Well, we approach everyone of various faiths with the Truth... that we are all bonded in our connection with God, whether we agree on what he's called and what his rules are or not, we all seek to be more conscious of God (and thus of ourselves) and by getting as many people as possible to focus on God and the Truth, we can bring everyone closer to alignment with it.
Love is the essence of the entire idea, we will need to use Love to connect with large establishments of faith in order to open them up to connecting on a spiritual level with people who do not share their specific beliefs. And, of course, by everyone meditating on oneness with God, the Universe and each other, together, the planet may literally become bathed in pure Love.
Power is going to be needed, because action will be needed in order to create the momentum required to make this a world-wide event and get as many people as possible coordinated for the largest group worship/meditation on Earth (maybe we can get the Guiness to make it a World Record to help market it)... and though I don't think Humanity has problems with it's Power alignment, I believe that should we succeed in accomplishing this, that the knowledge gained in the experience of connecting so many people for one event would inspire us to further use our Power for each other... even if nothing measurable occurred during the actual event.
Anyways, this is the idea that I spoke to Shauna about at the workshop and she really wanted me to speak up during the actual workshop since that audience of people were the type most likely to resonate with this idea... but I didn't get an opportunity to do more than hint to everyone that I had an idea and that I was going to be posting it in the forum.
So yeah, anyone have any thoughts one way or the other? For me I imagine Steve saying "You hope you'll have a job you like, one day... or a relationship you're happy with, one day... or a million dollars, one day" and imagine him instead saying about Humanity "We all hope we'll achieve world peace, one day...", well why not set a date and make a decisive plan? If it doesn't work, at least everyone will be better for the experience... I can imagine no negative consequences.
These are my ideas, if you think I'm crazy, all I can say is, you may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...
