Default I am going to stop thinking about the LOA

That's right. I am going to stop thinking about it. For the past seven weeks, all I have done is think about the LOA. I have read Abraham/Hicks, Joe Vitale, Wayne Dyer and Lynn Grabhorn. I have surfed the net looking for information (which led me here, BTW). I have debated, discussed and analyzed.

Well, I am done with all of that. I am going to stop thinking about and discussing the LOA and start living it. I am going to stop trying to decide whether it is real or not. I am going to stop doubting it and me and start just believing and DOING. I do fully believe that action is a large part of ANYTHING working for you. See? Even in talking about the success of a method, we use the phrase 'work'. I just finished 'Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting' and throughout the whole book one thing is evident. Lynn Grabhorn is an energetic woman who is full of ideas. When she was manifesting positively, she was open to successful ideas and directing her energy positively. When she was manifesting negatively...not so much. But nowhere does she or anyone else say, "Sit back and think about what you want and it will mysteriously appear for you." And to all you doubters of the LOA out there that keep bringing this up as if it is news to those of us who do believe...it's not. We DO get it. What you don't seem to get is that sitting around thinking life sucks and that we are all just victims of random events that are out of our control doesn't work any better. And the smaller part of the key is the 'sitting around' part. The important part is the positive or negative attitude (when you think about it, how much 'just sitting around' do really positive people do, anyway?).

I think where doubters get hung up is when believers say "don't worry about the HOW". That doesn't mean "put forth no effort and things will fall in your lap". It means, "If you maintain a positive vibration and keep your eye on the ball, SOMETHING will turn up to make it happen." I actually interpret 'not worrying about the HOW' as keeping an open mind and your radar open to previously unthought-of avenues of opportunity.


You want a body closer to your ideal and want to know how the LOA can help that? You start by visualizing your ideal body. You envision yourself healthy, attractive, fit and sexy. You begin to BELIEVE these things are so. You give yourself permission to think that you CAN be a size ______ (in my case, a size 8). In doing so, you become inspired to work out. A free month trial to a gym shows up on your windshield. High on your new belief, you use the trial and discover a love for working out and Bob's your uncle, within no time you are all the things you wanted to be. BUT...before you CHANGED YOUR MIND about what you could expect from a fitness and weightloss program, you would NOT have even noticed the opportunity from the gym (or maybe not even have gotten it). You would have seen the two for one deal on ciabatta burgers at Jack In The Box. Can you sit around, eat the burgers from the Jack In The Box and lose weight? No. Ain't gonna happen. Wish it did. To lose and become fit, you have to move more and eat less. Period. But before you do THAT, you have to believe that your effort will be rewarded and that you are worthy of all the work.

You want to be a millionaire? You start by thinking it can happen. You give yourself permission to BELIEVE that you can be a millionaire. You begin to think positively and deny negativity. In positive mode, you begin to notice opportunities all around you. You get the guts to follow the idea. You stop hoarding and starting spending on your goal. You stop spending reckessly as a band-aid to feeling as if you don't have enough. But it all starts with CHANGING YOUR MIND.

It all starts in your head. EVERYTHING starts in your head. 'Attitude is everything' ain't just a slogan on a t-shirt, people. It starts in your head and radiates into your actions. But it all starts with your thoughts.

Human beings are pattern recognizers (animals, BTW, notice things out of pattern). If we are in negative mode, we look for things to follow that negative pattern...and we get what we look for. If we are in positive mode, we look for things that fulfill that pattern...and we get what we look for. Call it anything you want, supply as much concrete reality or woo woo to it as makes you happy...that's how it works. Do I believe that good things will come to me when I am in a positive place? Yep, I sure do. Can I PROVE that? Nope, I sure can't. Can anybody DISPROVE that? Ummm...no, they can't disprove that it is the positive energy I am supplying that attracts the positive opportunity.

SO...no more trying one way or the other. I am happy. I have been happy for seven weeks. I think I can do anything I put my mind to. Those things, in themselves, are miracles to me. So, I am going to live the power of the Law of Attraction. See you guys later!!
