So I took a forum holiday of about 2 weeks and already returned in full force

.
It was an interesting experience, certainly recommendable for people who spent too much time online (in their experience).
What I got out of it:
- withdrawal symptoms for about 3-4 days. I really needed to consciously decide not to take a quick peek. Most of the time that worked. After that it was easy.
- more time to do things I want, and connect with people who are important to me. That was very valuable!
- I also missed some of the discussions but more the interactions with my virtual friends here and on other boards. Though online communities cannot fully replace real life friends they are a valuable addition for me.
So now what? I've noticed it's easy to fall back to 'too much online' habits so I've decided to raise the bar. I'll get off line of this and other boards for 3 months, starting Monday. Not immediately, I want to follow some discussions and deal with PMs. I will come back in January.
Wish me strength!
