Also, maybe have a look on the Local Groups board. I don't remember but there might well be a group there from Boston.....or you might start one if there's not..

I called this technique "Pretending is creating" a long time ago, but I stopped doing it. I'll give it another try. |
Great songwriter! (See, you must be a great songwriter, I just wrote that

....and most probably you are!)
Anyway, yes do give this a try and it looks like you've been reading in what's been written about this idea, both here and in Steve's blog for starters. There is the notion that if we insert doubt into our thoughts, it comes out in what we do, how we respond to things, what we notice around us.
I've noticed that sometimes I'll start out with something that sounds one way and as I work with that every day, I just find another step, a refinement of the original.
So...since I am a musician as well, I'll tell you what FOR ME might be a next step developing from "I am a pro musician with artistic freedom, and so it is" ... just as an example.
Let's see...."I play my music with great inner freedom" for one, and maybe "I notice increasingly how the freedom in my music reaches out to others"
I guess the idea here is to translate what has seemed to you as "pretending" (I can understand that), into points of view, perspectives and actions which are useful to you.
all best!
