Depending on how many people show up, you will almost certainly need to move to the chairs. There are only a few couches at the coffee place and it could be full with other people. So look around when you get there.

As for Cirque, there are like 5 different Cirque shows so you may want to coordinate which one you go to. And they do often sell out. Chances are good you won't all be able to sit together so it may be more trouble than it's worth to try to coordinate a group seating/ticket thing.
