I've seen the movie The Shadow Effect., I understand embracing the dark side of ourselves. But please don't give this power to anyone else. They don't have it, they never have and they never will. It is our own, We have it and we have the ability to release it.
I think you did not really grasp what I intended to say with my post, which has nothing to do with embracing evil but rather with accepting all that you are, so that no part of yourself gets suppressed. Parts of yourself that you suppress get subconsciously more powerful and often lead to uncontrolled and uncontrollable outbursts that later we're sorry about, beat ourselves up about, deny being "us". Which leads to living in conflict with ourselves, with that part of ourselves.

I also invite you into the train of thought that people who do harm to others invite harm back in automatically, the same way that people who do nothing of the sort have the kind of protection you state. But we do not live in a perfect world, and people are not perfect, and the number of people with a high enough vibration so as to be completely immune to these kinds of things is still fairly low in general. So yes, it does "work". I am intentionally not putting any ethical or moral labels on all of this. Ethics and morality are always something individual, even though there are some things that a society as a whole mostly (!) agrees on is either "right" or "wrong". No two sets of ethics are completely the same, though, and neither really add anything to this discussion.

Whether you label somebody a lightworker or a darkworker has little meaning to me personally. We are. We learn. We grow. At some point, we grow into new abilities. How we use these is by the same judgement that we use any other means, and that does not make us anything but what we are already - human.

My friend btw. is a loving mother and takes particularly good care of her children and does the best she can to create a good and peaceful situation in a difficult relationship. There's a lot of "lightworking" involved in her life, so maybe you might want to stop labeling people you don't know much about.
