I used to drink little water also and would only drink when I got really thirsty. Now I'm in the habit of always carrying a water bottle with me. Even when I'm at the office or at home, I have a .5l to a litre bottle. That way if i'm thirsty, water is only a reach away instead of walking somewhere. This stops me from saying "ahh...I'll drink later." Now if I forget the bottle of water, I feel like I'm naked heh.
You are right...way more concentration and just more agility overall.
