I completely agree with the tone in Steve's blog entry, given the intent he was trying to stir within his readers.

My only caveat with it is his use of the word "Nazi". I understand the reasoning behind the use of it, but the inner "semantitian" in me does chime in. The citizenry of Germany during the Nazi party's reign were for the most part actionlessly complicit with the regime because they were the protected population, but that hardly makes them actual "Nazis" themselves if they weren't affiliated with the party. Now does that make it any better? No, of course not. But technically they were not necessarily Nazi themselves.

My two cents does not change the implication for the audience he was trying to reach. It should only serve to contrast and highlight it.
