wanna buy house on MY terms & pace
Hi!
Hubby is like now now now! We were on a scheme & initially were told yes then later told the money had run out so many people had applied - even though we'd made an offer on a nice place & had our offer accepted. Now there are two other ways we can get onto the property ladder but there are about ten terms & conditions so I would need to show the email of this to our friendly real estate agent who has been VERY helpful so far and get him to explain this to us. Once upon a time 5% was enough and in about three months we will have that much in savings.
We were told that due to the recession we would need 40% if we want to just save up for a deposit. I think by the end of next year we would have nearly 20%. Now me I am happy to just wait but
my husband is like no I am sick of renting plus our landlord hopes to sell our flat by the end of next year. I said so let's just rent again.
He's not keen! We have been renting for years.
Now you guys I would love our own house but only if on terms I am happy with.
And one of those terms is I don't want to feel rushed. With the first scheme I felt very rushed, I kept being told "You need to get in there NOW!"
It felt wrong.
I want hubby to be more patient about this! To manifest say oh another £10 000 in a hurry would be wonderful by the way.
He says next September his dad will retire and may give him about £10 000. But as our landlord may also retire in March & be home when we get home & be a pain he doesn't want to wait that long plus there's no guarantee. I would love to manifest a 5 or 10% deposit deal esp 5% but only if the mortgage was low enough to be affordable for us.
Hubby is also self employed so I wish he'd wait till work stabilised a bit for him - he hasn't had a good year financially. In about five years time I want to be self employed & I don't want to be stuck in my current career just to pay the mortgage plus I want to keep up our great lifestyle. SOOOO
I want to get a house we love for £10 000 or less - preferably £5 000 with enough space for us, nice area, affordable mortgage that also allows us to maintain our current lifestyle - travelling etc. To be able to be self employed in 5 years and still easily afford the mortgage & our finances to be healthy
& this to happen at a pace we are BOTH happy with & us to
stay happy with each other & the process while this is unfolding for us.
Your good thoughts and words greatly appreciated here thank YOU!
