I'm not keeping my PD strictly a secret - but the opportunities to talk about it IRL are scarce. I sometimes try to sneak it in though. :P
It's funny how closed-minded people can sometimes be. I recently dropped the link to Steve's article "Lessons from Star Trek" to a trekkie friend of mine, and he was mightily impressed with it. "That's exactly why I like Star Trek. Couldn't have said it better."
A second later he asks me whether I've read some of the other articles. And then starts to attack them ("Reasons why you should not have a job?!"), apparently without having read a single one... it's kind of a funny response after praising an article written by the same person, which talked about (among other things) open mindedness.
I kinda dropped the issue at that point, but it's experiences like that, which make me a little cautious with mentioning PD.
