The question is: Is there a spiritual bond with our pets beyond death? Or am I niave to belive that Ike is waiting for me in heaven?
If he's learned all the lessons he set out to learn as an animal, then he might reincarnate as a human.

I certainly believe we have permanent connections to our pets, and in a lot of ways they serve us far more than we ever realize. While it's sad for us when they die, the truth is that death is progress. It means he's progressing forward to the next level on his own spiritual path. I think he would want you to be happy for him, rather than see you be sad.

My feeling is that Ike the Wonder Guinea Pig is spending some time in a metaphysical plane while his higher self plans his next incarnation, which will either be human if he has learned all the lessons he wanted to learn, or another animal if an animal body suits his purposes.

One thing for sure is that no matter where they go, they never go away from us, since are we not all one anyway?
