This weekend I had a really interesting experience with intention manifestation. I put out several intentions, one of which was that I would have a meaningful weekend socially and meet some new people. I'm a college student but have shied away from many goings-on on campus because I'm not really interested in drinking heavily or talking with shallow people.
Around 9 o'clock on Friday I was talking with my sister about someone she had met about a week before who also goes to my school. Now I knew this already, but through my sister's urging, this girl decided to come over and introduce herself to me and I ended up spending the rest of the night chatting with her and meeting several new people. My sister then decides, on her friends request, to come down to visit us. Tonight I've been out to eat with my sister and went to a basketball game, which I've never before bothered to attend. I haven't met as many new people tonight but I have been spending time with people that I don't often see.
In short, it was the most socially active I have ever had in my two years here. Whether it was the universe aligning to fulfill my intention or simply a coincidence helped by my desire to be social, the important part is that I wanted it to happen and it did. The way it unfolded was amazing, everyone that before seemed to be closed to me suddenly opened up as if specifically in response to my intention. Needless to say, I'm going to continue experimenting with this model.  |
