Some people can pull that kind of arrangement off and are happy with it, so it's not crazy. Both polyamory and monogamy have their special rewards and challenges.
But it sounds like it's not for you.
As for me, I can barely handle the demands of one intimate relationship, much less more than one, so I'm satisfied to hang out close to the norm.
