I believe (maybe easier for me because I witnessed it happening) that this is a clear example of unintentionally using the LOA to create a situation. The main worry throughout this past year for them was that he was going to loose his job. They got to the point of actually living as though he had lost his job (saving his paycheck)... add some intense fear into the picture and they manifested this. No doubt in my mind.
I'm not saying one shouldn't be prepared or save in case of an emergency, but definitely not with this fear based worry that they had.
