Im not talking about just overweight women, I mean women with hair too this, nose too that, legs too this, shoulders too that- there is no part of our bodies that goes unjudged by men, parts we could never change without plastic torture surgery, and we cope just fine.
The point about the higher self is that there is more to life than the hair on your head. After an extremely stressful episode in life a few years back I started to get thinning hair, and losing it in the front. It sucked but it was just a symptom of a bigger problem.
I had a Dad who used the comb-over technique from ages 45- 75. It looked god awful but it was a symptom of his larger struggle with getting old- he was so physically strong and powerful and when arthritis, balding and all their friends set in, I watched his ego suffer the most. He based his self-worth on how much he could do physically and it was sad because he had such a great personality.
I dont know who Tolle is and I never meditate. I'm just the next dummy who sees people for their character, not for how much fuzz they have coming out of their skull.
