There is an element of notetaking in photoreading, primarily mindmaps. Now you may have a better experience of it than I did, but I would advise you not to invest too many of your resources into it.

Get the book from a library, and if you learn anything from it perhaps it shall be that SQ3R and not buying the course are much more viable and realistic alternatives.

Photoreading is basically that SQ3R, and mindmapping put together with a lot of new-age fluff.

The only good thing I learnt from it bar a good lesson, was to teach myself to see stereographs.
