Question Visualizing Clearly & Letting Go

Two things I recently thought about:

Is it imperative to visualize things clearly and exactly like with your eyes? Sometimes I do more feel what the outcome would be like with only very short flashes of visible things or for e. g. faces only some parts, much less like real vision.

And: In The Secret they say at one point (with the coffee cup) that letting go is important; I've also heard that being unattached to the thing you intend seems to be important. OTOH in the scene with the boy and the bike he seems to really play around with it and not really completely forget about it - so it apparently works both ways?

Or is it about not obsessing over the how and when rather than the what?
