My practice with my watch (most any Timex Ironman has the countdown timer) happened a lot while driving. Staying present while driving was a major challenge for me. As soon as I started moving my mind was off in its own world. The main thing I noticed from practicing was that the time between the minutes felt longer and longer. Sometimes I had to check my watch to see if it was still working. The perception of 'space' in that one minute got larger and larger.
