I disagree with this on a nitpick, though: I think there is nothing wrong with trying to change one's friend; it is when you try to force change that's wrong. It is also wrong to force a friend
not to change, as Sireesha's apparently is; again, however, it is fine to attempt to prevent them from changing.
As long as you treat your friend as an equal, rather than as someone to be pushed around, I think there are no issues.
