I just have a problem with a text that sounds suspiciously like the christian god in his jealousy of other "gods" describing what I term the origin, or source.
Sorry if this sounds defensive to you. Maybe it's a battle I shouldn't be fighting at all. I also didn't intend to demean you, your experiences, or your remembered knowledge. And in fact, I set a target today to meditate daily (the "quieting the mind" meditation type, not guided) to allow myself to start remembering actively instead of just getting a "true/false intuition" when I encounter information. So I guess you're way ahead of me there.
But as you say, I guess we filter things through our own eyes, and our eyes are formed through how we grew up, and if that was a christian setting, then things will be somewhat colored by that. Still worth thinking about why source would care about not being mistaken, or want to be "respected" when it, almost literally, is at the heart of all of us.
Tell you what, I feel a little unclear about this right now. If I get some "clearer" bit of information out of myself, I'll add it to this thread.
