You can move on by better defining your own role in any relationship. If you have a vague idea, then there will be hesitancy and stalling, but if you have a clear idea of what you want in a relationship, you will see right away if something can evolve into that
But thinking that you will find the ideal situation and abandoning oppurtunies which might well evolve into or grow into something desirable is not such a good way to go about doing this.
