Because people get in over the heads. Why don't you start this week with increasing your raw intake by 10% vs where you started before the diet. Then every week do something like 10% more. So on and so forth. Obviously the number is made up, but that's what your mind is for.
If you go to the gym, do you pick the heaviest weights you can find?
