This is so outside my circle! Does anyone remember "Open Marriage" from the 70's? Maybe polyies looked at why it failed and have made adjustments.
I know of one divorce because of open marriage, but other than that I had no involvment.
I'm a traditionalist too, but there are sooo many people on the planet maybe it's time for poly to see it's day. I have to look at it as evolvement, but it goes beyond my comfort zone. I think thats why I realize for myself how important likemindedness is. If I have that and friends it's enough.
Polies from what I've read seem to not have as much incommon as they'd like.
They open up to other people to fill that void and to keep their relationship strong. I guess. Don't know, and this is a new trick this older dog doesn't want to learn.
