Hey there,
Just wanted to post and say keep it up! I've followed the Warrior diet unintentionally and intentionally twice in my life. The first time I was 18 and it just happened that way because of school and my job at the time. I worked at a beach cafe and had to wear a bathing suit all day (I'm a gal) and didn't want any bloating so I would run every morning and drink water all day until I got home and ate the most massive dinner ever! lol. I remember being very lean and I never even thought about calories. Fast forward 8 years later and I'm sure not that anymore. I've tried to follow the 'eat 5-6 meals/day' business, counted calories/points, eat breakfast, skip lunch, eat dinner, etc. and done endless hours of exercise but I couldn't get my eating under control. I despise counting calories, it makes me crazy which leads to binging. I also hate being hungry when I go to bed which would lead to binging. Which made me research the web for eating one big meal a day like before. Warrior diet! It is THE most awesome 'diet' out there. No counting, no worrying, only eating to your heart's content at night and going to bed to sleep like a baby.
My brother, he's 24 and diabetic, is unknowingly doing this. He skips breaky, has a protein drink around noon, and eats tons of meat and veggies at dinner. He only takes his insulin once in the morning now whereas he was taking it all day before and he's dropped like 40lbs in 2-3months. He was trying the 'body-builder' lifestyle type eating before and wasn't losing anything..while boxing and doing circuit training.
Long post to say don't knock it till you try it. I love eating like this. I don't see how it could be unhealthy if you're getting a wide range of food at night. There is so much push of the Canadian food guide and eating a trillion times a day..but that's not to say it's right. I've tried what everyone else does for years, while working out, and I'm still not where I want to be body wise. It doesn't work for me. So I say screw it, this works for me. I don't care what other people say. And one more thing, a lot of permanently lean people eat this way. I've met them and eventually the cat is let loose and they'll tell me they skip a meal, or skip many meals or whatever.
