Reflections
I agree that developing balance and trancending the emotional extremes comes only from first experiencing them, and the lessons that they offer (or force) us to learn. Whether in this life, or in all of our incarnations, which situations/events impress us the most? It seems it is those that have brought us the most ectsasy, euphoria, love and joy, as well as those that have caused the most trauma, hurt and suffering. I believe that we are here for a reason, and that some of the most enlightened souls may have reached a place of balance... but, right now I'm not ready for a life without passion and pain.
