Default Learning from your teacher's notes

One of my professors said, "I've made notes that you can print, you don't have to take notes".

I've printed all of her notes. But an important question has arisen in my mind. Can I really learn from somebody else's notes? It would be the very first time in my life.

What if there something important to me, but not to my professor. Now, what matters more, what's important to me or what my professor thinks is important to me?

Any opinion on the subject?
