This has always been an interesting subject for me as well. If you haven't seen Malcolm Cohan's 'Rocket Ship' and 'Vision Statement' on Youtube - do a google search for them.
It's visualization with music AND pictures made into a short video. The first time I saw it I got goosebumps - it was so powerful. That started me searching for the connection between music and our thoughts - because they're both just vibrations - right? Which led me to read about brainwave entrainment, the Mozart effect, and all kinds of factoids I had never heard of before. One reason I love this whole Secret/IM so much is all the insight and knowledge I have gained since starting this. Why don't they teach this stuff in schools? This is really powerful stuff!
Anyway, Malcolm's approach is to use music that makes you feel good, to get you to a higher vibration to make your manifstations come true. Annie (on this board) uses Baroque Music (Mozart Effect) to drive your intent into your subconscious using Alpha Waves. Which way works better? I have no idea. I thought about using both - as an experiment - maybe a blue feather with one method, and a red feather with the other, and see which one manifests first.
For Baroque - I like Vivaldi The 4 Seasons. For general Feel Good music - I have a 'good vibes' playlist I made with titles like, Chicago - Beginnings, Beach Boys - Good Vibrations, Dire Straights - Money for Nothin'. Ray Charles, Feeling alright (Joe Cocker), Addicted to Love (Robert Palmer), The Look (Roxettes), Do You Believe in Magic (lovin spoonful), Allstar (smashmouth), I'm a Beliver (monkeys), You make my dreams come true (hall n oates) and the list goes on and on...
Does music have an effect? I really, really, think so. Which method works the best? Don't know....yet. |
