It is not that simple
We do not have that much control
Sometimes it can be done and something it cannot be done because we do not have the power to thrown an emotional away if the emotion is overpowering or if it is rooted in our psychic nature.
Even physically, there are so many things which we cannot do.
Can I sever my arm from my body with my will power if I wanted to?
Some emotions are attached to my psyche even more so than my arm is attached to the trunk of my body.
Why pretend that we have so much power, when the fact is that we are not absolute.
It is only when Nature (physical or psychic) allows that we can fulfill any desire.
It is not and never was a free for all.
