Hi Gene

At first glance...

I'd have more text on the homepage. I heard somewhere that Google won't bother indexing a page with less than 125 words on it - I'm not 100% sure this is true but it sounds sensible to me (search engines and online directories aside.)

Also, the best way to win new traffic is with lots of high quality content. Google will better understand that you're selling "specimen shells" if you have more than one incidence of that keyword in your body text. And your readers will love you for giving them lots of free content. Even if it's just background info on specimen shells that isn't required for your sales pitch - it all helps put the focus of your site in the right place for humans and Google alike.

Design-wise, I agree the background color is too bright. Backgrounds should be very pale and ideally white. Avoid any florescent or garish colors altogether, and stick to dark fonts - black or dark gray work best. You can introduce colors in your logo and individual images but not in the wording or background itself - sorry, it just hurts people's eyes!

If you want a new design based on my own template (with your own unique logo - we'll make a new one for you) for $250 feel free to PM me. Also, if you're really serious about making money from your website, you might want to consider Site Build It - for techniques on free traffic building, content writing, and much more. I really think your site could benefit from this kind of knowledge. You have the groundwork in place, you just need to learn the steps to success.
