That's a rather disturbing thought to me. If you completely let go of all control, how do you know its what you really want? How is it any different from any fatalistic creed? Even Pavlina keeps lists of things he wants to manifest - otherwise, haven't you just gotten yourself lost in the whims of the universe once again?
I suppose that I personally don't see the univese at this all-wise and all-good thing, only as this genuinely helpful and benevolent force - but I have to provide an impetus and force for it. If the universe is God, then God has given me the divine spark of being a sub-creator(made in His image), and therefore, I still should have my aims, goals and desires to manifest.
