For me meditation in the morning never worked as i am more an eveningperson. zzz

if i start the day as active as possible, i am active the whole day. which is a great feeling and makes me do tons more.
although running in the morning is out of the q at the moment... maybe one day

what i do is walk with the dog in the morning, write in my journal and also making some order in the house. do the active to-do things.
when i meditated? i liked to meditate after my long midday walk at the beach, and made myself a nice can of herbtea and mostly raw healthy lunch. that way it did not make me sleepy.
maybe that works for you too?
