But why? Why is there a certain 'logic'? Who's setting it, if anyone? Why are there paths of greater or lesser resistance in the potentiality of the universe?
Part of it is the collective mass consciousness of the human race at this time. This is a consensus reality after all. We are not really separate from one another. Thus, at a deeper level of consciousness, we've all "agreed" on the rules, so to speak. The seeming denseness of this reality is simply a reflection of our own consciousness. Humanity dreams the same dream and you have physical reality.

When our collective consciousness becomes less dense, the matter our reality is composed of will so also become less dense to reflect that.

You see, once a certain number of memes develop in a given society, it creates a sort of "gravity well" in consciousness for probable energy pathways. Its constantly evolving, but its a collective venture of the racial/planetary mind. And as a rule, identity resists change, because change seems to threaten identity. Thus we have a seemingly stable reality, because we secretly fear change and chaos. We like things to be predictable at a unconscious level. But change cannot be stopped -- energy must move. The best our egos can do is slow down our perception of change.

There were times in the distant history of Earth where the reality agreements were different. One example (that is not recognized as a reality by contemporary historians) were the Atlanteans. They could do things that most people would regard as magic. They could lift stones with their minds, teleport, shapeshift, read minds, among other interesting abilities. Of course, this is all fantasy to some.

But in short, the answer to your questions is in "iamhappy's" reply above. We don't believe we can do those things, and so we can't. And take that to the societal level of consciousness, and you can begin to see the resistance inherent in those types of realities expressing themselves on Earth physically.
