I have been thinking that, yes. It may simply be me that assumes certain opportunities are easier to present themselves than others - it may also be that some of the opportunities require effort beyond what we normally perceive.

Growing wings might have the universe present us with an opportunity to research genetic engineering when we want to fly - in many ways, a way for us to grow wings, but so indirect that most of us wouldn't make the connection.

So nothing restrains us except our imaginations, ourselves and our will to make our dreams happen.
