Of course, it's your choice! Palming is certainly better than nothing.
The course I did is all about relaxing the eyes sufficiently so that when you do begin the strengthening exercises, they are no longer in a fatigued state.
Palming will help reduce the stress which causes bad vision. But a side effect of corrective lenses is you forget how to focus naturally. Strengthening exercises restore that ability. I'm not sure that relaxation exercises alone can create 20/20 focus because you are not practicing the act of focusing in your routine - but then again I'm am not the expert.... I'm still willing to learn.
