Just a small comment, starting up a business is not for everybody. Doing something 'on your own' might not be what best suits you. So you need to answer that first. if you feel better surrounded with people and working within a group, you better stick to a job. The entrepreneur road is a lonesome one (in general).
I agree that the first stop is finding what you really love/care about in life. Everything starts from there
