I was JUST thinking the same thing. I'm actually going to put an ad up on craigslist and try to get together a bunch of people for socials and stuff. MySpace can be good, too...check out the groups. There's a young professionals' group for NJ alone, and I'm sure I'll find one for entrepreneurs, as well.

Another thing that you can do is go to events where other motivated, upbeat people would be. Poetry readings, gallery openings, things like that...take someone with you, if you'd like- then, you won't be kinda floating, floating, floating.
