This is not the primary goal. A person wants to lose weight for a reason. They may say it is to look better, be healthier, whatever - but in the end they want to feel good about and in themselves and believe that losing weight will help them to feel that way. For that reason, the primary goal is actually:
feeling good about one's self.
Since your number one point is off, I am assuming the rest is, too.
