Maybe eating a 'meal of peelings' every day would help?

I eat a lot of fresh fruit and veg and I have good skin. I don't necessarily know if it's the skins so much as the nutrients within the whole fruit and veg that have this effect though.

I'd also suggest drinking plently of water to hydrate the system too if you're looking to improve your skin. Basically keep your eating and drinking habits as "natural" as possible.
