I definitely think it would be a good idea to honor his request not to contact him, and to believe him when he says there's nothing between you.

At the same time, you can appreciate your own power for having him appear in this weird way. If it were me, I would look at it as an opportunity to notice my own "letting go" (of the attachment). That sounds kind of funny, doesn't it, that I could appreciate attracting him as a means of letting go? And I think it's a nice sort of "obstacle" -- a fun thing you've set up to practice doing what I think you know there is to be done -- surrendering your attachment to this one person who has let you know he's not the right person for you.

That's a very generous thing to do, don't you think, to directly let you know he's not available, and free you up to look for a man who IS the right guy for you? The man who is out there right now, preparing himself for his lovely relationship with you, and perhaps you've even glimpsed him, but you didn't recognize him because you were focusing on Mr. Unavailable.

And that's fine, too, because Mr. Right wasn't quite ready for you, either, yet.

Danger Man and I were amazed when we came together, because the timing was so exquisite -- if we had met even one day sooner, we wouldn't have been ready for one another, we both agree. I was getting pretty antsy, because I was in my 40's by then and wondering if I'd ever meet the right guy -- and now it's easy to see that all those *wrong* guys were absolutely perfect, and they were exactly right for helping me get to a place of readiness for Danger Man.
