This is absolutely true, by the way.
One day as we were approaching our house she started to panic. When I asked her what the matter was she replied that she thought that her car may have been stolen.
When I asked her if she was being serious she confirmed that she was.
She was then somewhat amazed and relieved when I told her that she was in fact driving it!
I am saying nothing about women drivers on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.
