Have you ever thought about writing jokes away from the computer, before you go into writing your main stuff? Sometimes when I'm trying to write about a difficult topic, or something that has a lot of facets, I think up and create the main ideas before I even begin writing. When I get down to the actual creative process to write, I can insert what I created beforehand and fill in the blanks as I go along.
