It occurred to me, that I am not quite sure how you believe you can spread Lyme disease to another person, through sexual intercourse alone? Or do you think it can be spread by kissing? In the first case, you can do what most people do to prevent disease spreading, wear a condom.
I wonder though, (warning: I like to dig deeper with myself, so I challenge others to do the same.) Are you sure this is really about the Lyme disease at all? You might want to examine why you would manifest even the belief that you can't be with another person intimately. I have a feeling you might find some answers there. First, you have to really get honest with yourself. Seems to me from what I've read, you drove one person off already because you are focused on this issue, and now you have shut out (for the time being) anyone else that might want to be in a relationship with you.
I liken it to a person who doesn't believe their partner will be long lasting in a relationship, or cheat, or lie. They focus completely on the negative happening, and it generally happens. They push the person so far away, the relationship basically self-destructs.
