The ultimate goal is to have pleasure, so yes; in the long term though. The whole idea is to abstain from pleasure and increase self discipline so that one gains the greatest pleasure of all in the long term. The longer one holds off to experience pleasure, the greater the pleaure is when one does finally experience pleasure.
