Cases where, say, a 21 year old man has sex with a 17 year old girl and gets the book thrown at him. I think those laws are ridiculous.
A 40 year old man having sex with a 17 year old girl, however, is just wrong. Why? Becaue a 40 year old man has far more "resources" with which to persuade a 17 year old girl than a 21 year old man. |
A 40 year old and 17 year old is not ok, but a 40 year old and an 18 year old is?
Thank you for bringing up teenagers. To me, this is what the issue is about. I'm 19, and personally, my "internal check" says that high school girls are hot.
